Advanced training.

Every level.

London Basketball Academy coaches an advanced skill set to every player, from first-time beginners to elite prospects. The standard stays high. The coaching meets each player where they are, then builds technique, consistency and confidence that show up in real games.

One high standard, coached at every level

Every player is assessed and placed with others at a similar stage.

Beginner

Correct technique from the first session, so good habits are built in from the start.

Developing

Sharper skills, quicker decisions and the confidence to use them in games.

Advanced

Game-speed reps, film review and pressure situations that expose every gap.

Elite

Detailed refinement and preparation for tryouts, school teams and club opportunities.

An advanced skill set, built from the ground up

Every player trains the same advanced curriculum. Newer players learn it in the right order. Experienced players push it to game speed. Progressive drills, film review and an individual skill plan keep every session focused.

Shooting mechanics

Balance, alignment, release and follow-through, repeated until the shot holds up at game speed.

Ball-handling under pressure

Control with both hands while defenders crowd, trap and reach.

Footwork and agility

Pivots, jump stops, first steps and change of direction for efficient movement.

Passing and decisions

Reading the floor, choosing the right pass and delivering it on time.

Ball protection

Body position, ball security and strong finishes through contact.

Spacing

Knowing where to stand, when to move and how to keep driving lanes open.

Screens

Setting, using and reading screens on and off the ball.

Defensive fundamentals

Stance, closeouts, help position, communication and finishing the possession with a rebound.

How a player moves forward

Growth should be measurable. Each player follows the same clear pathway, adjusted to their age, level and goals.

5

Compete

Leagues and tournaments test the work against real opponents.

Programmes

Training and competition work together. Each programme challenges players at their level while reinforcing the skills they practise every week.

What it is
Built for

Leagues

Organised league play by age and level, so players apply what they train in real games every week.

Every level, from first season to experienced

Club teams

Selected squads that train together through the season and compete as a unit.

Committed players ready for a higher standard

Tournaments

Regular tournaments that test players against new opponents and higher stakes.

League and club players looking for a challenge

Camps

Seasonal camps and training intensives with high repetition and game-situation reps.

Every level, grouped by stage

Private training

One player, one coach, built entirely around that player’s skill plan.

Targeted improvement and tryout preparation

Small group

A few players of similar level sharing focused, closely coached sessions.

Friends or teammates working on the same skills

Camps and seasonal intensives

Concentrated blocks of advanced training that accelerate progress. Players get more touches, more repetitions and more live situations in a few days than most get in weeks.

High repetition

Hundreds of quality reps on the skills that matter most.

Game situations

Drills that end in decisions, not just finishes.

Grouped by level

Players train with others at a similar stage.

Clear takeaways

Every player leaves knowing what to work on next.

Private and small group coaching

Targeted attention at any level, for players who want to sharpen a specific skill, fix a weakness or prepare for tryouts and school or team opportunities.

Private training

Every minute is spent on one player. The coach builds each session from that player’s skill plan and adjusts in real time.

Small group training

A few players of similar level train together, combining close coaching with partner work and small-sided reps.

Start with an assessment

Tell us about the player and what they want to achieve. A coach will confirm their level and recommend the right programme and the best place to start.
